Presidents Message

Dear Members and Friends of the Pakistan Canada Association Calgary (PCA),

On behalf of the dedicated team of executives elected to lead PCA from 2023 to 2025, it is my great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you on the PCA Calgary website. We invite you to explore this digital space, which not only encapsulates the rich history and background of PCA Calgary but also serves as a hub for information on our past and upcoming events, consular service updates, and other pertinent community news.

At PCA, our main objectives are rooted in fostering understanding, harmony, tolerance, and good relations between Canadians of Pakistani heritage and the broader community. We actively encourage participation in social, cultural, and educational functions and programs, not only within the Pakistani community but across Canadian society as a whole. Our motto, encapsulated in the acronym UTAH, underscores our commitment to Understanding, Tolerance, Acceptance, and Harmony.

Established in 1967 and officially registered in 1975, PCA Calgary stands as a non-profit organization that represents Canadians of Pakistani origin residing in Calgary and its surrounding areas. The roots of our community reach back to the early sixties when young, enthusiastic Pakistanis migrated to Calgary in pursuit of higher education and employment opportunities in the burgeoning oil and gas industry.

Today, PCA stands proudly as one of the most active and vibrant cultural organizations in Calgary. With our own Cultural Centre and the acquisition of 10 acres of land in May 2017 for future community projects, we are dedicated to furthering the well-being and unity of our community. We estimate a community population exceeding twenty thousand Pakistani Canadians in Calgary and its surrounding areas.

As we embark on this journey together, we eagerly anticipate your engagement and feedback. Your suggestions and comments are invaluable in guiding us towards continuous improvement and growth. Together, let us continue to strengthen the bonds of understanding, tolerance, acceptance, and harmony within our diverse and dynamic community.

Warm regards,

Muhammad Hafeez Malik
